In these strange times of non contact, one way to keep yourself healthy and active is to garden. Something simple like growing herbs from seeds can be achieved on a sunny windowsill if you don't have access to any outside space.
I usually source my plants from wholesale nursery, Provender or from other specialist suppliers including Paramount Plants for mature plants or David Austin for roses.
But as the lockdown in the UK has begun the use of mail order/web plants suppliers will become increasingly important and they really need your support, with all the RHS shows cancelled for this year.
Here's a few that I have used in the past that supply great quality plants:
Crocus - have some great offers at the moment on herbaceous perennials and a vast range of shrubs, bulbs, grasses and perennials. Standard delivery is £4.99.
Jekka's - a family run herb farm with over 30 years experience of growing herbs for culinary and medicinal purposes. A great small business to support in these difficult times. The minimum order is £10 but delivery is free.
GeeTee Bulbs - Bulbs galore from this supplier. Wholesale prices with delivery at £4.99.
That's just a few to keep you busy but I'll be updating my lists as we continue to find new ways to continue to garden in the coming weeks.
Stay safe everyone.
