I'm pleased to announce that the build of my E12 New Orleans Courtyard was completed last week. A tricky build, due the confined space and number of bespoke features, was beautifullly executed by the team at Nordland Landscapes.
There are a few small additions still to go in, the storage shed, metal pergola rods and a decorative wall light and of course the plants, but these photos and 3D views show how the completed space will look.
Pergola rods, bench and planters to be added along with shade tolerant planting and climbers to adorn the wires, reclaimed wrought iron gates and pergola over time. A Mint Sandstone stepping stone path leads to the living room doors.
The view from the kitchen will include tree ferns either side of the existing Cherry Laurel tree and climbing hydrangeas along the back wall. The tree ferns will be underplanted with Vinca 'Atropurpurea' which will soften the edges of the raised beds.
The view from the bench on the left hand side takes in a large Ironstone planter with Agapanthus and Meuhlenbeckia surrounded by Arum Lilies and a Wisteria clambering over the black metal verandah.
Watch this space for the planting coming this Autumn.
